Rushed YM track, don't have time to redo the crap ending/looping RN so I'm submitting as is. It's got some parts I really like so I guess I'll rework it for a future release.

This tune uses new techniques (FM) introduced by ttrak last year and added to maxYMiser a couple of weeks ago. It's used to create some acid-ish sounds and FX. Couldn't get rid of the glitches without changing that beautiful syncbuzzer tone (whose waveform keeps alternating between triangle and inverse triangle). So I chose to keep the glitches anyway.

Rendered on hardware, works on a stock ST without DMA.

That is very impressive for the YM2149. I would've expected the envelope at the beginning to sound detuned at those notes but they're not! :O

@Tobi It's the syncbuzzer effect, it's been around for years but I guess only on the ST platform. Credits go to Tao IIRC for coding it and using it first, and to Gwem for implementing it in maxYMiser. Basically the CPU is resetting the waveform at audible rates so you get correct-ish pitch much higher. Interestingly if you lower the freq of the envelope but keep the reset frequency the same, you'll reduce the amplitude of the envelope! There are many things to explore with this technique, even more so now that FM can be applied to it as well.

no, there isn't lol while i specifically said to not play it with winjam X')

this tune was made for a project that is delayed because the coder couldn't find time... i'll release the sndh when the whole thing is released (or officially abandoned)
