It's a chord progression people pretend gets used way more than it does, especially in long YouTube videos where some douchehauer with an acoustic guitar sings every song he can think of over I-V-vi-IV and says it's the same thing, even though I-V-vi-IV is not really the chord progression of Pachelbel's Canon and almost every fucking song he plays does not use either progression. I'm sorry but the universal chord progression meme is my trigger.
Just to clarify I'm not throwing shade at jaemie or anything; your song actually does use the same progression as Pachelbel's Canon.

I-V-vi-IV is called "the four chords of pop". Pachelbel's canon is I-V-vi-iii-IV-I-IV-V but yeah it's indeed an extension of it.
