i just got the internet today, the only thing is that the modem is fucked and when my grandma is online i cant get online and vice versa, but anyway i'll get messenger tomorrow and give all that info to you. the drums in the track were very crappy because i wrote everything out and then didnt have time to do anything good with the percussion. i dont know, and why does everybody like my old stuff damn it! oh well perhaps i'll listen to the oldies and figure out what was likeable and utilize that again. i learned a bunch of new stuff as far as fucking with the samples and making cool synths just recently, in fact during the making of this track i learned an amazing cool set up with a flanger that im going to use in a non-botb track coming up. my tracks were generally slow and im trying to write faster songs now and just havent got the hang of it but ill get it, the shitty bill cosby in the winter track is horrible compared to what i now know how to do and its usually through botb comps that i learn something useful. anyway before i ramble on and take up the whole botb server space or whatever ill end this and just talk to you on messenger tomorrow ... peedies.

i use only samplers cuz you know a synth would be against botb rules, but i get some interesting effects with a couple chorus devices and a flanger, i can look at the reason file and tell you exactly how i did it actually.

thanks hects! im glad you appreciated it, i worked hella hard and my only regret is the drums really, i didnt have any time to do anything good, i almost gave up because no matter what i didnt have enough time to come up with anything good as far as percussion. i learned some cool stuff in the making of this track that im trying to work on outside of battle of the bits, like i was able to get that synth sound out of the samples by throwing together a maximizer, a couple compressors, a phaser, and a flanger where the knobs are at zero except for the delay which i carefully automate to get individual tones, i didnt even write out the melody with notes i used the delay automation to get the different pitches, (the point is that if you take out the nn19 and use an actual synth it sounds even cooler)ill send you the reason file when i finally get messenger if you want its way cool. anyway talk to you lates!.gov

i gotta send you this combinator patch i did that sounds somewhat like what you described above. it does overcompression, but it's got these matrix pattern controlled screams on it.
and the delay thing too, i had a henry williams track a while back that did that, but it did tones based on eq bands from a cr78 (the williams kit maximo!). from there, the delay tones went to vocoder modulated by the 78. so it was like a different tone each time... so every time the song was played it would never sound the same.
and an acid patch! there's one that i did that takes filter inputs and a buncha other stuff. get messenger biatch! so i can send them!!
