That's awesome my man, very stoked you are setting out on your deflemask journey! It will be a fun one indeed. Just keep it up and it will definitely start to come together. The sound design will become more and more intuitive as you progress. One piece of advice, open up some patches that you really like and try to reverse engineer them, compare them to the default patch settings so you can see what sort of tweaks give you the sound you want. You can be very successful just using patches, but the more control you have over your production the better.
And of course keep coming back here and posting your tracks!! This site is excellent for improving, as you can learn a lot from others tracks, get good advice on your own tracks, and even end up collabing and trading WIPs with others. Feel free to hit up the discord or irc chats if you ever need advice, help, or just want to get some ears on a WIP.
