That village on the other side of the river didn't seem to be much different from ours. There were some relatives, but our families didn't communicate that much for a long time, so I barely knew their names and where did they live. Almost tumbledown bridge stretched across the river, but people from other village didn't seem to come here - and if there were any relationships at all they couldn't be considered very friendly.
But kids didn't know too much about two villages conflict, and being taught by parents not to play with children from neighbor village - they did that anyway.
