Inspired by this track (consciously), this track (unconsciously), and the first paragraph of this review (though it didn't really end up like what's described there). One thing I really like about pd is the ability to easily make parts interdependent: in this patch, I started with the bass, and then every other layer is controlled by it or depends on it some way. The other thing I really like is ring modulation.
While I enjoy messing around with Pure Data, my knowledge isn't very deep, and I tend to use it improvisationally rather than planning things out. This results in all my patches becoming incomprehensible spaghetti. I made some efforts to clean this one up after finishing, but it's still pretty pastacular to look at.
Once started, the .pd file loops every 3:27. The .mp3 render fades out after it loops.
