A phase music-esque experiment in tracking software. It's not exactly phase music (although I have made stuff like that before), but I am regardless happy with how this turned out.
I wanted to create a uniquely digital version of the feeling one gets when listening to something like "The Disintegration Loops" (wherein you essentially hear a piece of art die in realtime), and I think I achieved that effect decently well enough, the envelope that the pattern can exist within getting smaller and smaller as recursions of itself slowly disappear into the horizon, an I/O melting wax of terror.
Unsure of how well that comes across within the piece, but I hope it does well enough.
Written/rendered in OpenMPT 1.13.07.00
Note: probably best to listen via the .it version, I used a bit of MP3 compression on the render (128kbps average), it's not necessarily notiable unless you have a particular ear for that sort of thing but I figured it was important to mention regardless for those who're bugged by that sorta thing, and I generally try to get as HQ a render as I can for BOTB anyways, so it seemed important Enough to mention as an aside to this entry.
