A short experiment with long samples.



The song was made with pxtone collab 0.6.4.7, then rendered to spc using OpenMPT 1.31.04.00 and SNESMod. Rendered to MP3 with SPCPlay 2.20.1.

If we're just working with a single big sample, then perhaps the program itself can be greatly simplified into just merely writing the DSP registers to start the sample and do nothing else. Gives you nearly the entire 64KB memory map that way.

Other than that... well, it's certainly a method of making a SNES entry.

very eerie.. the mood set here was really immersive, just a wonderful slice of ambient. i love how the choirs(?) getting downsampled that heavily almost sound like a snow storm or something.
