There she was indeed. Maria stood on a path between two buildings. It was one of those little parks they put in spots like that. Just some grass and a few trees. A musician peddling for spare change, if you're lucky. But the place was empty. All except for her. And there she stood, doing her best living statue impersonation. She saw me. Crap, she saw me. Her face contorted to an expression I'm not even sure how to describe. Shock? Fear? Disgust? Her eyes bore a hole through me, those dark eyes seeming jet black at this distance. She sees me. Shit! She sees me... Do I act like I don't see her? Just keep walking down the street? What do I do? Shit! What do I do?! And why am I freaking out? I'm the one that's supposed to be the spooky ghost here.
