this develops into a super determined vibe, i'm into it! all the accompaniment feels a bit like something from the 80s :o)

The blippy square wave sound from the start onwards makes me think of playing Dr. Mario on the Game Boy. And the pulse at 1:35 sounds like a Mario jump! The initial motif at 0:18 accompanying the pan flute starts softly and feels more determined shortly after. Nice. Really enjoyed the fact that you used that sci-fi sfx for a cymbal. It really makes the piece stand out. Plus, there's enough layering, pitch range exploration, writing and instrumental ensemble, which makes the piece feel full and varied. Very nicely done fakebit deserving of a spot in the top 7.

solid drums, those are sfxr generated? I need to check that tool out again. the vibrato on the lead is lovely, the lil pan flute and xylophone unison works real well, the bass guitar keeps things movin along real nicely, just altogether a nice complete bundle of FakeBit!
