Hmmmmms, what is the max ROM size for HES? maybe I should actually try to make a real working ROM instead of a VGM submit, it was just me being lazy ;)

After careful consideration, Uncle Strobe have decided to disqualify this entry until it have been salvaged and repaired.

I did though make some attempts to build a ROM, and I got a new VGM down to 1MB with very Little loss of actual fidelity, but as of this time the DefleMask ROM builder fails completely, even with ZERO samples, the ROM shoots up at almost 1 MB, for unknown reasons.

To be clear here, I don't Think it is the "sample abuse" at the moment that completely wrecks this song, since all channels allows for PCM streaming, and even adding just 1 short sample breaks the ROM builder.

There will be a new version of an optimized VGM coming up
Before the compo ends, or a working HES, which will be far less
in size than the current one. (I got lazy and did no optimization on the original submission, it really does not have to be 5MB at all). :P

I must confess that I didn't really think of the situation like that, before now ;)

Without an external bank mapper, the internal bank switcher of the PCE can access up to ~2.1MB in ROM I think.

DeflateMask's """HES rom builder""" does not support the SF2 mapper or the TE v2 mapper, so that's why it can't build a HES bigger than ~2.1MB.

I thought that since I currently got a VGM working around 1MB,
the HES ROM shouldn't be that much larger, but it seems like

I made a working 500k VGM file, but since I never figured out how to make a working ROM, I let the project die a silent death ;)
