FM Synthesis is so awesome, and it's so much fun to explore the diverse aural canvas it provides! I wanted to highlight some different sounds and techniques used in more recent, modern electronic music, using FM at the core. So for this track I made all of the sounds, from scratch just for this comp (except for the cymbals/hats and a few break-fills).

The synth I used for everything is the Ableton stock synth, Operator, which takes 4 FM operators/oscillators and adds some wicked subtractive and additive synth capabilities on top. I used a few 3rd party plugins for some things in the track, but most of this is stock Ableton, so I decided to throw together a sound pack with some of the cool synths, basses, and the drum kick/snare sounds! Aside from the patches, there are also 4 wav files I bounced of different Snares and a heavy, clicky Kick (for those who don't have Ableton).
