You're walking through an empty house, your old family house. As you walk and explore the near empty domicile, all of your nostalgic memories come flooding back into you. It's a fond time full of joy and wonder, where the only things you had to worry about was your toys, your family, and love.
Suddenly, you hear a noise from the living room. You rush down to see what's going on. You arrive to the living room and are overflowed with a memory that flashes into your mind. It's Christmas and the entire family is there. You walk around the memory, watching all the smiles, laughter and love from everyone. You crack a smile, and then you notice a tear on your cheek that snaps you back to reality.
Back in the reality, you realize there's nothing there. The room is barren except for some minor furniture. You remember why you are really there, and an aura of sadness and longing fills the air. You turn to a chair in the corner and find the source of the music. A small music box. It was your mother's and you always adored it. You go over to it and you also find a photo hidden away in the crevice of the chair. You grab it and smile as tears are still flowing down your cheeks.
It's a family photo. You were young in it. Happy, smiling as wide as can be, taken a few moments after Christmas. You clutch the photo deep into your chest and smile, knowing that these everlasting memories will always be with you.
Grabbing the music box and photo, you leave the now empty house. One last look before you drive away, you wave goodbye, knowing that this may the last time you ever see it. However, with the memories you have now in your front side passenger seat, you can always remember.
Never forget the things you love, the memories you adore, times when everything was grand.
