Here's my most recent tune made in VGM Music Maker. I am uploading the VGM file here but I think the sounds might be a little off balance. So if you want to check the mp3 it's here ;).

I love the atari-ish noise channel sounds from the PSG and that melody that sticks in your head :).

PSG conversion is always a little off balance in VGM Music Maker, when going to .vgm. Play around with the volume balance in the pattern editor until you get it just right.

I really do like the melodic noise effects you used in here. Your atmospheric styles are some of the best, like I can almost smell the air from the environment your track paints.

Thanks marcb0t. I don't have the proper programs to listen to VGM's right now so I just post it as is and figured it'd be off but at least it's proof that I am working within limitations ;).

Hi Jredd,

Hehe, you can use VGMPlay available here: http://vgmrips.net/programs/players/VGMPlay_040-6.7z
Simply "drag and drop" your VGM file onto the program and it'll start playing. This is what I use for testing, at least.

Also, I edited your SoundCloud profile picture to be compatible with your Battle of the Bits profile image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2C16041iMhgbFFZRjczVUd5OFE/view?usp=sharing

My pleasure! Congratulations on winning the bronze for the SGEN category on this track, by the way. I still think it's great you found a way to use the Hi/Med/Low tonal noise setting in it.
I like that you are always experimenting and trying out new techniques with your tracks. That, and also those really groovy PSG solos you do! :)

I'm hoping that "Road to Victory" gets the gold!

That would be awesome! Really there are so many great tunes in so many categories that I really have no idea who is going to place where. I sure have a great time getting feedback and listening to others' work though. Aaron actually beat me with his funky FM tune getting 9th place, but you know what he totally used my drum samples :P. Your tune was also awesome. Although, as you are the creator of Ocean Melody I would expect nothing less :). Your Lunar Light Zone beat me fair and square. In fact, I went ahead and reposted that one on soundcloud. Cheers buddy. You deserve way more attention on there :).
