Grand total of 1021 bytes. This was my attempt at replicating the Gameboy sound chip using bytebeat. I did the best that I could to stick to all the limitations (even though it isn't 100% accurate, due to the nature of bytebeat1k).

Uses the HTML5 Player: http://greggman.com/downloads/examples/html5bytebeat/html5bytebeat.html

Play in firefox for the best performance results!

If the higher sample rate links don't run well, try the lower sample rate versions.

"Uncompressed" code:

wow, serious wistful GB RPG town vibes on this one. I see that Pokémon tag but I'm thinkin' maaaaybe more like Robopon or something else a little more under the radar.
(This has inspired me to at least TRY the format)

This sounds more Pokémon than anything else to me, amazing job on emulating the Gameboy instruments, i would say it's actual gameboy if i didn't know that's a bytebeat beforehand, lol <3

Time to contribute to that "Pokémon" tag :D/

-1 for "cheating" by utilizing the full js code and -1 for lagging playback in my browser even in 8khz version (I'm using a 2012 laptop). Bytebeat shouldn't eat this much cpu...

Just kidding though, it actually sounds like gen 2 pokemon, good job.

You made me want to try out bytebeat!
After all, I have studied two semesters of c programming...
