Thanks guys :)
This was, of course, based on the concept of Steve Reich's "Piano Phase", where two pianos play the same music, but one slowly and gradually speeds up, causing a delay effect that gets longer and longer as the piece plays.
I only used the concept, not any of the musical ideas, and my piece uses three pianos instead of two.
Also recommended is Reich's "Four Organs" which is the same concept applied to four electric organs over an 8th note maraca pattern.

LOL I love steve reich. I used to listen to "variations for wind...", "music for 18 musicians" and some of his later more sample based stuff that sounds reeealllly minimalist, and my family would just be wondering what the fuck I was doing with my life XD

Not too shabby mang, although I think you could have phased a bit more hardcore ;D

Oh man yes! You guys totally get it.
I could definitely have done more with it if I'd had more than 30 minutes to make it, lol.
Jangler, you totally nailed what I was going for. The quartal harmony and textures of Tarkus mixed with the ideas of Steve Reich.
I listened to way too much of this kinda stuff back in college...What started it was reading "Experimental Music" by Michael Nyman over and over and over. It was just super interesting to me. Also "Silence" by John Cage.
One thing it really didn't help was I was in Advanced Theory I and II at the time and all those rigid European Classical rules couldn't have been less appealing to me at the time. It actually made it very difficult to get motivated to do those assignments!
Things go in phases, pun (maybe) not intended.
