Hi Hanna, you have made a lot of good decisions here. The gradient-style shading on the sphere of the earth and the expression / posture of your character are the strongest, and really make the piece what it is. The colors are all slightly dull feeding into the sad nature of the picture. Colors work well, even though they are dull you can still tell what is happening. The only thing I could suggest, but this may just be due to time limitations, is adding a slight highlight to some places on your character. The guitar has implied shading to help communicate it's form, but I think it would make the piece better if you added some form of shading onto the character. This is because if you add shading to the character you may be able to add more to the space. For example, the character is going into space so maybe adding some dark highlights would actually subtly make the piece feel wider. I hope this makes sense. It's very wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to do this, you should be proud of it!
