Ugh I've missed this one :C
Actually I had some ideas:
1. Simple Major, in which the goal is to stay as simple and as minimalist as possible to make an entry that sounds somewhat ok. I think any possible format could be involved.
2. Defeatist battle, in which you try to do your worst intentionally
3. Animation battle idk
4. Grafx battle but ms paint only

Hmm, Defeatist battle could be interesting if it's "make something spectacularly awful but still listenable", otherwise it would end up with a ton of lazy "I spent 5 minutes on this so it's bad" entries.

Minimalist could work! I've made some decent songs that had only 4 channels and 2-4 instruments!
