the Good News
Welcome to BotB's new engine. It's been up a while now, but it hasn't been until now that there's enough code to start a new thread/newz. ^__^; With BotB's new engine framework, developing features shall refrain from such previous procedural coding nightmares. I have high hopes all of BotB's old features will be up and running, better than before, within a month (but BotBrs shall see o__O).

This launch of a BotB 2.0 is a perfect example of why one should spend a year unemployed. School of hard knocks, noobs!! The functions are compartmentalized, the objects bootstrapped and the database is redesigned. BotB is now employing AJAX for slot loading. Also, BotB's count on MySQL calls is down to 20% from before due to my redundancy killing code. That means faster page loads for every BotBr!! =D/

the Bad News
7 avatars were lost, most likely ones uploaded in the 9 days before the upgrade.
2 OHC battles are missing entry data but will sustain a recovery.
OHC engine does not exist yet! =( But it is a high priority!!

Winter Chip IV
This year we have 16 different formats. A BotBr can post one entry to each format. How many think you can do?!?!? xD Although this compo was announced about a week ago "submitting entries" is still not available. Hopefully, I'll have that going before the Stupor Bowl tomorrow!!

I love the new design. even though I don't understand this boon-system. I understand that domating money gives me boons, but why the hell do I have like 90 boons without ever domating a single buck????

boons is also something you get from normal participation on the site, such as voting, uploading material. much like you get points in the same way.

well, say, you earn points for an upload, but receive boons as royalties from plays & donloads
