I agree with 1 or 3. Not with 2! I don't like having 2 separate ratings on a song. Imagine the horror if you score a perfect 35.000 in an OHB and then somebody later on gives your entry a much lower score. ;_____;

Maybe this could be somehow tied into the favorites system? You could rank/search entries by how many favorites they have, and entries with more favorites have a bigger chance of randomly being queued on the radio's playlist.

To complicate things, it could be an option to request/plug songs for a slight amount of b00ns! Songs that have been requested very little cost or not at all cost less b00ns, and songs that have been requested recently cost more b00ns.

I love so much about this idea. especially if it means no more flash requirement!

yeah i like the idea of increasing how much it costs to plug songs that have been played a lot because i don't want to hear the same song all the time on the botb radio like i do on 106.1 san francisco bay area hip hop radio that plays the same 3 songs only every day!!!!!! (maybe increase each song's plug price by 5 boons every time it is played)

maybe every time a song is played, every other song's plug cost gets reduced by 5 nubs so if a song was played a lot at one time, but not played a lot recently, it can be played for cheaper again when the price reduces

if cost is implemented and not a cooldown, base cost should be proportional to size length to avoid "a pile of leaves-gate"

instant synclistens? that would be really cool, but probably too hard to implement for anything other than allgear/remix/wildchip

instant sync-listens for non-mp3 format battles could be done by having a period between the time you submit and like 5 minutes after the ohb ends where you could upload your own mp3 render of the song you submitted. (the 5 minutes or so would be determined by the battle host)

For 2) above, I think it'd be cool to have a "meta rating" thingy of some sort since it'd allow people who weren't present during the OHB period to weigh in their thoughts. Perhaps to keep it simple we should just add the ability to liek/haeit tracks and show the ratio.

Either way, this'd be super cool, I feel.

1) Agree, but botb is yet well alive as seen by the comments, forum posts, and ohcs displayed on the front page. They change pretty often through the day. I guess you mean dynamic live content vs static content. You mean updates live while logged in without refreshing the webpage and also interactive. Very much alike facebook's chat window, and status updates. I'm all for this idea on things I like, chiptunes and chipmusic. I like shout out and one liners boxes a lot like pouet.

2) I like this idea a lot. It's more likely an equilibrium measure than a disruption in the force

perfect scores are highly subjective, and highly unlikely. I should favor a mindset of being grateful your work is being listened rather that ;____; over not being numerically perfect

there should be a retrospective rating for tracks that starts with the base rating it got in the ohc. the original rating would still be there.
