Music played for the ocean-dwelling patrons of this fine establishment; Reeftown's favorite place to spend the evening. Goes out to Finneus, Pearl and the gang.

The setting is in reference to a favorite childhood picture book, The Sign of the Seahorse by Graeme Base. I got to thinking about this story as I was listening to the music from Ecco the Dolphin in context of this battle. As it turns out, both of these came out in '92, which was a happy coincidence.

Opted to avoid using samples or PSG for fun, stuck with just a few GEMS patches.

I also grew up with The Sign of the Seahorse, so this sent me on a bit of a nostalgia trip!

I love how subdued this is.

Great use of panning! Feel like the 6 channel limit requires it to make the sound feel more full — neat back-and-forth of the chord piano bits and the lead that the panning helps emphasize. It's all brought together by that percussion, though. Great use of minimalism to full effect, I found!

Not gonna lie, this track actually made me get up and make coffee!! cafe vibes++

Love the chill vibes. A lot of your chill tracks have a kinda "detective/mystery" vibe to them, which is cool too, but I like how this one is more just relaxed. I like how the somewhat sparse rhythm and chords accentuate the soulful jazzy melodies.

Not exactly sure why, but the trumpet line around 2:15-2:28 remains one of my favorite things I have written!
