But did you know that BotB also has a severely underutilized YouTube and Instagram account?

I'm taking the liberty of going to create some official promo material for the site (with puke7's permission first), from bandcamp album trailers to potentially featured artists and maybe new major trailers :o

Also, I do have puke7's approval on this, and when I say "official," I mostly mean "I'm handing the materials to puke7 for him to post on the BotB social media channels" (otherwise, I would've said unofficial if I knew it wasn't going to be a part of it)

I have some pretty decent editing and animation skills that I can put to use in arranging some trailers for the site, so if anyone wants to help out, then by all means!

I was mostly thinking about some ways to revitalize some of BotB's YouTube and Instagram channels, and I figured a bit of content could be a good start

Next album trailer (Summer Chip VII), I'm considering doing something with the top image entries for the trailer; may I have permission to use (and possibly do some modifications, mostly for animation's sake, to) the image entries for the sake of the album trailer?

I don't think you need their permission. You are using their works to make a new work for BotB. BotB has the rights to do this. ;)

I just realized that BotB albums eventually get a price tag with a trend of large majors (Seasonal Chip, Decadent Decade) getting $5 and everything else getting $3.

Should I reflect that in the trailers as well? I know that I put "pay your price" on the Detroit XI one since that was recently released, but I've a feeling that the information would be outdated when the next major release comes out. Maybe I should leave out pricing in the trailer altogether? :o

Basically, if we keep them all free then every time we run out of donloads for the month (200) bandcamp automajically marks everything at $7. ChipChampion came up with the idea of pricing albums once they're not new anymore. It's a pain in the ass to revert manually.

Summer Chip VII YouTube and Instagram/Twitter/Facebook album trailer videos made; awaiting postans from das puke

This one took quite a while to do :o

I am planning on making an end-of-year digest video for the major releases of this year:

- Funk it UP
- Winter Chip XII
- WILDCHIP != WIN
- Metal 5
- SPC Echoes 2
- Spring Tracks VI
- Detroit XI
- Summer Chip VII
- Nintendo Trilogy
- FM Synth 2

While there may be some potential other majors that may spring up and end before the year ends, I at least want to showcase one song from each album released this year for the digest trailer. Inclusion will be based on albums that are released on Bandcamp and not necessarily based on the major's end date for voting.

With that said, I am requesting help from fellow BotBrs who want to try their hand at making a brief music video for any of the following songs:

- Quicksand Telescope from Funk it UP
- Beneath the Ice ヾ(｡ꏿ﹏ꏿ)ﾉﾞ from Winter Chip XII
- Swashbuckler Saga from WILDCHIP != WIN
- Deus de Metallum \m/- -\m/ from Metal 5
- Coral Labyrinth from SPC Echoes 2
- Time Fragment from Spring Tracks VI
- Disfavorable Odds (Battle Music) from Detroit XI
- Destroyer X-Ray from Summer Chip VII
- CÉILIDH ! from Nintendo Trilogy
- whichever entry gets first in FM Synth 2 (assuming the album gets released within this year)

To make it easier for those interested, I'll also post the portions of the above mentioned songs that will be used in the digest video sometime soon. The music videos can be about whatever you want as long as it's appropriate to all audiences. Expect to make more than 30 seconds of video at the very least. Here are some of the technical requirements that I'm expecting for each of the videos:

- Resolution: 720p minimum
- Video Bitrate: 4mbps minimum
- Audio Bitrate: 192kbps minimum
- Audio Sample Rate: 44.1k
- Format: .mp4

I'll post a due date for these videos after I post the song portions. Expect the due date to be somewhere in the middle of December at the very least.
